I want to write about Dublin, but I actually don't have a lot of time before meeting. Here are a few notes: we visited some young Quakers in a town near Dublin, we had lunch, talked about being a Quaker in different parts of Europe.
We then jumped on the bus for another hour, finally arriving in Dublin. We visited a meeting house, wondered the streets, viewed the many fine bridges, and stood outside the General Post Office, where some of the Easter Rising took place, there were bullet holes still in the walls.
On the way back I found a doughnut shop with doughnuts so big I thought they could chock a person. After that amusing moment, we rushed to Tesco and helped carry shopping to the waiting bus, which then took us on a quick tour of the beautiful squares of Dublin and Phoenix park. I admired Dublin very much, deciding it was a most fine city.
I will probably write more about this later.
